I’ve got a massive confession to make. I have really messed up. Seriously it’s not even funny.
I forgot to renew my domain name. Yup, www.eggscreamandhoney.com (don’t even click that it will make you cry) was up for renewal last month and with one thing and another *cough, cough* I forgot to hit the yes button to my renewal notification.
What’s worse? This is the part that makes it a big boo-boo. Somebody, or should I say some company, bought it from right under my nose. Well it wasn’t under my nose literally as I was away on holiday and not thinking about my blog at all. Still it was plan mean. Nasty. Deliberate. Can I say worse? Not sure, this blog is a peaceful, happy place where people get together to chat over tea and cake. But really. It’s just not on.
A few of my favourite things….
Let freezing cold temps be a thing of the past and my days be filled with sun, sand and sea.
The first weekend in November has just made haste and we are steadily making our way in to winter. It’s been so mild the last two months and much of the countryside is still laden with foliage now a kaleidoscopic display of oranges, reds and browns. The weatherman promises a change in temperature as well as temperament. Will we get the Siberian snow storms the media love to taunt us with? It seems impossible with everything that surrounds us still so rich and vibrant.
Sunday mornings (aka pyjama day). Love ’em.
Especially autumn and winter ones. No reason to leave the house when it’s cold outside.
Day of rest god said. And I take heed.
First thing I saw this morning upon waking at 7am. Opened my bedroom curtains and there it was. “Oh ****, there’s a cow in the garden!” In fact there were three.
Summer Tea Parties
Summer’s here. Don’t tell the English weather though. As soon as it hears the rain will come. It’s like “hello July, hello torrential rain.”
So let’s talk hush hush.
I’ve got some great ideas for a summer’s day afternoon tea party. It’s the high-class picnic and all the better for it.
MAD AWARDS 2011
The MAD Awards 2011 announced their nominees last month and, like last year, I was lucky enough to be included. The awards have grown slightly in size and prominence and now include a Best MAD Food Blog. That’s the category you will find me in along with Maison Cupcake, Cooking Cakes and Children, Feeding Boys and a Firefighter and Jam and Clotted Cream. They are all great blogs and I feel honoured to be nominated along with them. Please check out their blogs if you haven’t seen them before. If you would like to vote for me or any of the other nominees in any of the categories please head on over to the MAD Awards Voting Page. Obviously I would love your support! Voting ends Friday (yeah you could say I have slightly left this to the last minute…but then I wouldn’t be me now would I?).
